The Sweet Shop- Old Village
As part of my senior preservation project, I completed a comprehensive history of the H&R Sweet Shop in Old Village, Mount Pleasant. This work included architectural documentation through measured drawings, historical research, and community interviews. The project examined the building’s significance within the neighborhood’s cultural fabric and its role as a cherished local landmark. The final presentation highlighted the importance of preserving small, everyday spaces that embody community identity and continuity.

Pitt Street Pharmacy- Old Village
For my senior preservation project, I researched and documented Pitt Street Pharmacy, an iconic historic storefront in Old Village, Mount Pleasant. My work included producing detailed measured drawings, compiling the building’s architectural history, and conducting interviews with the current owners and longtime patrons. The project explored the Pharmacy’s role as both a preserved commercial space and a vital social hub within the community, underscoring the value of maintaining active use in historic buildings.

207 Calhoun Street Floorplan
In my Preservation Planning course, I worked as part of a team to physically document the College of Charleston’s Sustainability Center at 207 Calhoun Street. My contributions included producing a full floor plan of the building’s fourth floor. This project focused on accurate documentation to support future planning and preservation efforts, while deepening our understanding of how sustainable practices can be integrated into historic and adaptive reuse spaces.

Additionally, I produced two elevation drawings for 207 Calhoun as well that captured the character and materiality of key interior sections. The project emphasized precision documentation to support ongoing preservation and adaptive reuse planning for this active campus facility.
