About Me
Caroline Mentel is an interior designer with a background in Historic Preservation and Community Planning. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Caroline developed an early appreciation for timeless architecture and thoughtfully designed spaces. This passion led her to pursue her studies at the College of Charleston, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Historic Preservation and Community Planning with a focus on Interiors.
Throughout her academic and professional journey, Caroline has gained valuable experience working with highly regarded designers, including Amy Studebaker of Amy Studebaker Design in St. Louis, and Olivia Brock of Torrance Mitchell Designs in Charleston. These experiences helped shape her refined yet approachable aesthetic — one that honors architectural integrity while creating interiors that are layered, inviting, and timeless.
In an effort to make beautiful, thoughtful design more accessible — especially for younger clients and first-time homeowners — Caroline offers flexible services and approachable pricing. Her goal is to help clients create homes they love, no matter the stage of life or size of the project.
Now based between Charleston, SC and St. Louis, MO, Caroline offers interior design and styling services for residential projects of all sizes. She values collaboration, craftsmanship, and creating homes with warmth, beauty, and timeless appeal.
When she’s not working she loves spending time at the beach, trying new restaurants, and playing with her Goldendoodle, Biscuit!
